Collect What Moves You. Live With What Lasts.
Discover an exceptional collection of 19th and 20th century American and European fine art at Stuart Kingston, featuring important paintings, works on paper, landscapes, city scenes, portraits, and distinctive works selected for their artistic quality, history, and visual appeal.
Our gallery brings together works by celebrated American artists including N.C. Wyeth, Andrew Wyeth, Jamie Wyeth, Frank E. Schoonover, Guy Pène du Bois, Johann Berthelsen, Edward Loper Sr., Edward Loper Jr., Charles Colombo, and many others, alongside European paintings and works from established and emerging collections.
From evocative American landscapes and luminous coastal scenes to bustling city streets, European views, and intimate works that simply transform a room, our collection offers something for both the experienced collector and the first-time art buyer.
Art for Collectors. Art for the Home.
Great art does not have to live in a museum.
A painting can become the focal point of a room, reflect the personality of its owner, preserve a piece of history, or become an important addition to a growing collection. At Stuart Kingston, we believe the best acquisitions often accomplish several of these things at once.
Our gallery includes works selected across a range of values, from accessible decorative paintings with exceptional presence to significant works by recognized and highly collected artists.
Whether you are searching for a 19th-century European landscape, an American Impressionist painting, a Brandywine School work, a cityscape, a coastal scene, or an important work by a listed American artist, our collection is continually evolving.
The Brandywine Tradition
Located in Wilmington, Delaware, Stuart Kingston has a special connection to the artistic heritage of the Brandywine Valley and the generations of artists who have helped define American illustration and painting.
Our collection includes works associated with this remarkable regional tradition, including paintings and works by artists such as N.C. Wyeth, Andrew Wyeth, Jamie Wyeth, and Frank E. Schoonover.
For collectors of American art, these artists represent more than recognizable names. Their work is part of a larger story of American realism, illustration, landscape painting, and the artistic legacy of the Brandywine Valley.
From Decorative to Investment-Quality Fine Art
Some clients come to us looking for an important work by a particular artist. Others simply want a beautiful painting for a dining room, library, office, living room, or collection.
Both are welcome.
Our goal is to help clients find art that offers beauty, quality, history, and lasting appeal. When appropriate, we can also discuss an artist’s market, provenance, exhibition history, condition, and comparable works to help buyers make a more informed acquisition.
Fine art should be enjoyed. It should create conversation, give a room character, and become something you look forward to seeing every day.
And when carefully selected, it may also become an asset that can be appreciated and passed from one generation to the next.
